The Greene County Clerk of Superior Court

The Clerk of Superior Court serves as the official keeper of deed records in Greene County. The office is located at 113 N. Main Street, Greensboro, GA 30642. The office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Call (706) 453-3340 with questions about specific documents or to confirm what you need to bring. Under O.C.G.A. 15-6-77, the recording fee is $25.00 per document. Uncertified copies run $0.50 per page. Certified copies are $2.50 for the first page, then $0.50 each additional page.

All deeds must be signed in front of two witnesses and notarized. The clerk's office cannot provide legal advice per O.C.G.A. 15-19-51. Seek an attorney for legal guidance.

Pre-1999 records are not in the online system. You must visit the office in person to access those older documents.
